11:50 update: It's time

Just got a report of moderate to heavy snow in Gaffney -- I believe this is the band that will graduate us beyond flurries to some real snow -- temps are dropping across the county, evident that the column is being saturated and all the precip can start making it to the ground.

I expect (gulp) that by 1. a.m. at least the southern locations of Cleveland County will some decent snowfall.

Famous last words? We shall see.

Keep those reports coming! If you're going to make fun of us snow lovers, you're comments will have a short life.

I hope so. Snow brings out the kid, still hidden somewhere inside. Very light flurries again in Brittain Village.

Isn't it past your bedtime old man Skip? (HA!) I'm off work tomorrow, so I may stay up a greet the snow shortly before retiring.

I just took a look at the NWS radar. There's this little split in the activity. Southern & northern parts of the county are getting the "green" & there's less in the center. Interesting, huh? Can't wait to see how it plays out.

Brittain Village - 32 and the snow has all but stopped again. Heavier precip seems to fizzle out at the State line. Do we live in the Twilight Zone?

You there on Charles Rd need to turn on a flood light and look into it... I can't see any snow from my front porch, but when I look out back at the flood light, I see plenty.

The news said the pavement temps would not get below freezing and the roads would be fine for the entire viewing area. Whats up with that?
