Finally (although actually right on schedule) it is snowing here in Shelby. Sounds like much of Cleveland County is getting snow. Next up -- when will snow start to accumulate and how much.
well its boiling springs again and the ground is covered along with the road in front of my house... so the pavement temp isnt workin out the way they want it too... its pavement and its white!! i dont see it warming up to change to rain for a while cuz since this white stuff is falling it would be very hard for it to change over since it started as this... correct me if im wrong skip
Getting heavy snow in west Shelby near Poplar Springs Church. Already starting to cover the ground. Tried to get my 4 yr old up to watch it fall but he didn't last long.
Another report coming in from Mayberry. Andy said 2 inches on the ground and still coming down. Otis doesn't notice and Howard Sprague is on trying to get the roads cleared. Mayberry Primary school is cancelled.
I've gotta say, I would be happy with two, though ten sounds REALLY nice. ;)
Skip, this has been & continues to be lots of fun. Thanks for doing all of this. I know you've got your detractors, but I appreciate that you get into this with us. And kudos on calling it. You nailed it! Even if it tapers off & we only get a dusting you said we'd get something and you were RIGHT. Happy to be in the "Skip" camp.
Oh the weather outside is frightful and the fire is so delightful......ah anyway let it snow it's butt off tonight. This would have been cool to get on Christams eve or Day.
Howard has not been able to get Goober and Gomer on the phone to get the snow plow out of Wally's shop. Rumor is they are out with the Fun Girls. If anyone is traveling to Mayberry roads will be in terrible shape.
On the "crud" question, we should have an idea on that when it changes to our south and west. Hmmm, after I typed that I went and checked and Spartanburg and Greenville have changed to freezing rain.
That's not good -- although they had snow for about 3 hours and we were projected to have it for longer than that.
boilings springs again skip and EVERYTHING is covered with about an 1 1/2" on the ground and about a half inch on the road.... i would most def say no school tomorrow for the kids!! they got lucky this time
Snowing like I have seen it do in years around here up by BMS. Man how I wish this was an all snow event without the sleet and frain. Skip will it still be snowing at daybreak. Would love for my kids to see it.
The snow is now covering the roads here in the Poplar Springs area right near the old Kemet plant. This is great to see it snow this hard. I hope it keeps it up for a couple more hours.
Coming down hard here, a solid inch on the ground. Only the tall tufts of grass are peeking through. Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!! Happily from Lawndale, P.

brittain Village - Snow all but stopped a little sleet. Looks I may be right about my predictions. Its just so hard to get a good snow here. Snow on road has started to melt. I do believe its another Shelby dud. I say dud because an inch, to me, isn't a real snow.
