Worst songs ever

We were having a discussion in the newsroom about our LEAST favorite songs ever:

Here is my preliminary list:

"Take these broken Wings" by ????
"Against the Wind" by Bob Seger
"Don't you forget about me" by Tears for Fears
"I want to know what Love is" by Foreigner

Care to add to the list?

I'm with NYC Pal..."Broken Wings" was AWESOME.

And Tears for Fears is one of the all-time great groups...

Anything the Rolling Stones did after 1980 is terrible. The Carpenters were awful; I'd rather be punched in the head than listen to anything by them.

I'm not much of a Bette Midler fan, so that rules out everything from the movie "Beaches."

Also, Celine Dion is truly hard on my ears. It's amazing. She's sold millions of CDs, but no one will admit to owning one...

We failed to mention "Thong Song" by Sisqo when we had this discussion in the newsroom. I hate and despise that song.

Any list that doesn't include "Disco Duck" is woefully inadequate. Let us not forget "Rico Suave." How can you knock Ace of Base, nyc pal? And putting Aerosmith on that list is fightin' words. And why did everybody like the Macerena?

"Lay Lady Lay"

(shudder)

Which "Broken Wings" are you talking about? Bryan Ferry's? Chris de Burgh's? There are more. But, no, you're talking about the Lennon-McCartney (REMEMBER THEM?!) song:
"Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these broken wings and learn to fly ..."

You need to talk to the brighter people in the newsroom. They are there, but they're getting their work done.

"Broken Wings" is by a group called "Mr. Mr."

"Don't you forget about me." is a famous song by Simple Minds that was used as a title track for the movie The Breakfast Club.

Simple Minds and Tears for Fears completely rock and have quite a bit of musical integrity.

I've never heard anyone in my life openly criticize either group.

Tears for Fears were best known for their songs "Everybody wants to trule the world." & "Shout"

Putting those two groups on your bad songs list is a display of very poor musical taste.
