11:50 update: It's time

Just got a report of moderate to heavy snow in Gaffney -- I believe this is the band that will graduate us beyond flurries to some real snow -- temps are dropping across the county, evident that the column is being saturated and all the precip can start making it to the ground.

I expect (gulp) that by 1. a.m. at least the southern locations of Cleveland County will some decent snowfall.

Famous last words? We shall see.

Keep those reports coming! If you're going to make fun of us snow lovers, you're comments will have a short life.

I hope so. Snow brings out the kid, still hidden somewhere inside. Very light flurries again in Brittain Village.

Light flurries west of uptown Shelby out by the library.

Isn't it past your bedtime old man Skip? (HA!) I'm off work tomorrow, so I may stay up a greet the snow shortly before retiring.

In Cherryville at the Gaston County Line, we have light flurries. It keeps changing back and fourth to little to light. Been going on for about 1 hour...

I just took a look at the NWS radar. There's this little split in the activity. Southern & northern parts of the county are getting the "green" & there's less in the center. Interesting, huh? Can't wait to see how it plays out.

Looks to me like a decent band will soon move in here from Spartanburg.....

Brittain Village - 32 and the snow has all but stopped again. Heavier precip seems to fizzle out at the State line. Do we live in the Twilight Zone?

Lattimore update: Temp is now 31.8, and it is still snowing. It's not laying on the ground yet, but is just starting to stick to the deck and metal surfaces !

leave off charles road and haven't seen snow yet

You there on Charles Rd need to turn on a flood light and look into it... I can't see any snow from my front porch, but when I look out back at the flood light, I see plenty.

The news said the pavement temps would not get below freezing and the roads would be fine for the entire viewing area. Whats up with that?

UP here by BMS putting it down good. No way they have school tomorrow.

Just read the forecast discussion on the Greenville/Spartanburg NWS page and they say we may see a quick inch of snow before changing to rain. Looks like it may be a bust. I just wanna see SNOW !!!

Briitain Village - Still snowing but not sticking except in patches and not at all on cars. With the size of the flakes an inc or 2 at best, I think at this point.
